Get To Know Me

I am a licensed independent clinical social worker specializing in OCD, anxiety, grief and loss, medical issues, and more. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Simmons College and hold certification in Exposure and Response Prevention through the Cognitive Behavioral Institute.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations in various settings, including a group home for adolescent boys, emergency psychiatric services, hospice care, community senior services, and two major hospitals in the Boston area. With the establishment of my private practice, I aim to continue supporting a wide range of individuals, leveraging my skills and experiences to assist others on their mental health journeys.

I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and am continually inspired by the courage it takes to share one's unique and complex experiences. My approach is warm, engaged, and collaborative. Together, we will focus on your specific needs and goals to help you achieve wellness.

Things you can expect:

Dedication to Your Well-Being: I am genuinely dedicated to each of my clients. Your well-being is my priority, and I strive to demonstrate my commitment in every session.

Client-Centered Goals: Your goals are paramount. As the individual who has bravely sought help, you are the best authority on what is right for you. Together, we will identify your goals and develop realistic, manageable strategies to achieve them, even when the path may seem challenging.

Collaborative Partnership: While I bring training and expertise to our sessions, I do not view myself as the sole authority in our therapeutic relationship. You are the expert on your own life, and our work together will be a collaborative process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect in our first session?

In a first therapy session, you can expect a welcoming and confidential environment where you can share your thoughts and feelings. I will typically begin by discussing your background and the reasons you're seeking therapy including current struggles and starting to explore goals. The session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and express any concerns you may have about the therapy process.  Overall, the first session is about establishing rapport, understanding your needs, and laying the foundation for your therapeutic journey. It’s a safe space to begin exploring your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

How long are typical therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions can be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly. I generally prefer to meet with clients weekly for the first 8 to 12 sessions. However, some clients may begin with bi-weekly sessions, and we will determine the frequency together.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly, but I can provide superbills for my clients. These superbills can be submitted to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement, depending on your plan's benefits. Please reach out to your insurer's member services to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network mental health providers.

What platform do you use for telehealth?
