More on Anxiety

In our work together, we focus on helping you understand and manage anxious thoughts and feelings, offering practical tools to reduce stress and prevent anxiety from taking over. We'll explore the underlying causes of your anxiety and work with you to develop coping strategies that fit your unique needs.

My goal is to help you feel more at ease, reduce the intensity of your anxiety, and build confidence in your ability to face everyday challenges. With support and guidance, we’ll work together to help you move toward a calmer, more peaceful life.

My Approach

01
In our first session, I’ll focus on getting to know you—your history, current challenges, support systems, and anything else that feels important. We’ll work together to better understand how anxiety shows up in your life and what may be contributing to it.
02
In our therapy sessions, I’ll provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns related to anxiety. We’ll begin identifying what helps you feel more grounded and in control.
03
Together, we’ll build practical tools to manage anxiety, strengthen your coping strategies, and work toward long-term resilience—helping you feel more empowered and confident in navigating daily life.

In a first therapy session, you can expect a welcoming and confidential environment where you can share your thoughts and feelings. I will typically begin by discussing your background and the reasons you're seeking therapy including current struggles and starting to explore goals. The session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and express any concerns you may have about the therapy process.  Overall, the first session is about establishing rapport, understanding your needs, and laying the foundation for your therapeutic journey. It’s a safe space to begin exploring your thoughts and feelings without judgment.

Therapy sessions can be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly. I generally prefer to meet with clients weekly for the first 8 to 12 sessions. However, some clients may begin with bi-weekly sessions, and we will determine the frequency together.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance directly, but I can provide superbills for my clients. These superbills can be submitted to your insurance company for potential partial reimbursement, depending on your plan's benefits. Please reach out to your insurer's member services to inquire about reimbursement for out-of-network mental health providers.

What platform do you use for telehealth?
